bringing back memories of Oklahoma
and my grandparents.

Spring is coming,
Easter is coming
bringing back memories of Blackwell
and Easter Egg Hunts
in the field of the air port across
the road from my grandparents' house.

Spring is coming
and when the sun crosses the vernal equinox
I will celebrate Naw-Ruz
and a New Year.

Spring is coming
I am older,
I am wiser,
I am looking forward to eating a chocolate Easter bunny
I am remembering my grandparents,
I am celebrating a New Year,
I have changed in many ways since I left Oklahoma.
