Nova

A new star blooms
in the seeker's soul,
transmuting doubt to faith
and lead to purest gold.

Wildflower Memories of Spring

Elves dance
across the note laden air
sliding down strings of atoms.

Yellow daises waltz
in the rain scented air,
while white cream cups sway.

Blue cactus blossoms
kiss the first rays of dawn.

Red blossomed cactus bloom
their scarlet petals giving
color to the morning dew.

I Am Humanity

I am a spiritual being!
I am a dual natured creature!
I am a conjunction
         of matter and energy;
         of flesh and spirit
         of soul and body.
I am a spiritual being
         having a material experience.

Tests and Difficulties: Patience

Patience,
is a virtue,
that sometimes escapes me:
"The Remover of Difficulties" helps.

Riddle of the Present

I move between two worlds!
Yesterday
I created myths about the stars,
and tomorrow
I will colonize Mars.

I am the link uniting
humanity's past and future.

Peace Pledge

We will neither rest nor halt,
We will neither surrender nor withdraw,
Not until the torrents of justice descend
Like the waters of Noah's flood.

We will march hand-in-hand,
We will march shoulder-to-shoulder,
Waging peace until the currents of righteousness descend
Like a deluge upon the planet.

Old Houses

I like Old houses!

Old houses
have mysteries
waiting to be solved.

Old houses
have secrets
craving to be discovered.

Old houses
have histories
demanding to be written.

Old houses
have flaws
yearning to be transformed.

Old houses
have poems
desiring to be read.

I love old houses,
because old houses have character.

Daily Gratitude

Give thank every day
intoning one of God's names:
Make everyday Thanksgiving!

Rise at dawn
praising the Creator,
with joy and gratitude:
Make everyday Thanksgiving!

Pipes of Peace

The pipes of peace echo
across the face of Earth
intoning supplications to the Glorious Lord.

The pipes of peace ascend
out of cool glens
chanting praise to Baha'u'llah.

The pipes of peace drown
out the drums of war
intoning prayers to the Prince of Peace.

The pipes of peace echo
up the mountain sides
chanting supplications to the Lord of Hosts.

Unknowable Divine Essence

Unknowable,
beyond this material dimension,
the Almighty creator
dwells.

Soul

Each crystal facet bends light
to the wave length of its own choosing
reflecting green,
blue,
yellow,
or red
from the pure white light.

Selfish Letter

I
is a selfish letter,
seeking its own pleasure.

I
stands alone
upon the field of life.

I
walks alone
across joyless plains.

I
is single
and always alone.

Obedience to the Laws of God

A comet moving around the Sun,
I advance in the path of faith,
as atom by atom
the solar winds of test
strip my coma of dust and gas
transforming me in my obedience.

Power Breakfast

The sun turns the sky pink
with the new born rays of light.
Prayers chanted in the dawn
break the fast of night.

Sand and Stars

Singing Sand

Palm trees with their long beards hanging,
Nod to the breeze of morning,
Sand moving across the rising sun,
Intones the hymns of dawn.

Stars Shining

The hues of darkness,
Sparkle in the night,
Generating rays of joy,
That send atoms into flight.

Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence

Whispers
echo across the dark parsecs
that separate worlds
encased in embryonic sacks
of atmospheric gasses:

eggs containing
the viable embryos
of interstellar civilizations.

To An Automible

Consuming in hast miles of macadam,
You transport me in belted security,
From dusk to dawn and back again.

Gulping gallons of volatile liquid,
Your horses purr like feeding kittens,
As your respiration poisons the air I breath.

Without you I am confined to to a snails pace,
Or to the queue waiting for a bus,
Or dependent on the kindness of other human beings.

Summer Night Meditation

On summer nights
crickets sing ballads
to the man in the moon.

On summer nights
the man in the moon
is slowly transported
across the ebony firmament.

Olives ripen
on summer nights
their verdant green skins
are transformed into rich ebony.

Poet's Meditation

Deep
in material tranquility
yesterday reposes.

Yesterday
whispers its diurnal wisdom
in the reverberation of rhythm.

Deep
in spiritual tranquility
tomorrow reposes.

Tomorrow
whispers its eternal wisdom
in the reverberation of rhyme.

The Poet's Job

When Divine Revelation occurs
and God's Manifestation appears
the poet detects the change in the wind
and inscribes it in the annals of history.
