I am thankful for the beauty
of a partly cloudy day
and for the clouds that the wind
carries across the valley.

I am thankful for hot coffee
brewed fresh this morning
and for the leftover coffee in the fridge
I will warm up tomorrow.

I am thankful for the answers
to my prayers
even when those answers come
in unexpected ways.

I am thankful for the neighbors cats
that use my backyard as a playpen
they are three happy cats playing in my yard.

I am thankful for the wind blowing
through the stone pine trees.
