I either need a schedule or to set the alarm clock, maybe both. I can't seem to make myself get up of a morning. I used to get up at 4:00 or 5:00 am, but for the past week I've gotten up at 6:00 am. I can't seem to make myself get up earlier and I'm not sure why. Perhaps it;s the new surroundings or my body is just tired from moving and going through boxes. I still have stuff to go through and send off (when I get the money) to siblings in Colorado and California.
I don't know if setting the alarm will help because usually I have to move the clock about every other day or I turn it off and go back to bed. It could be the chilly mornings that make me reluctant to get out of bed. I don't sleep under heavy blanket or quilts, but the ones I have over me are warm and the morning air is chilly.
Another reson could be that I don't sleep well at night and when morning comes I'm just getting to sleep. I could try staying up until 10:30 or 11:00 pm. That way I don't toss and turn for as long, but I don't know if that would help. I think my biggest problem is physical and the type of bed I'm sleeping on. I'm sleeping on a love seat instead of a couch. It's better then the couch, but I still don't think I'm sleeping comfortably. I think I'll see if I can find a recliner, maybe I could sleep on one of those better then on the love seat.
I have so much work to do that I need to get up and get it done, but instead I just want to stay bundled under the covers. If I don't get to work I won't have anything accomplished before mys sister come into Las Vegas next Monday. I have some things to give her and some stuff she can put in storage (if I decide to put it in storage).

Midweek Reflections on Calendars and Time
‘Idál (Justice), 12 Sulṭán (Sovereignty), 169 B.E. - Wednesday, January 30, 2013 about 8:55 A.M. Pacific Time
February has 28 days this year. If it passes as quickly as January, then on February 27th or 28th, I will feel as if a tornado pass through my life leaving behind a jumble of unfinished task and goal. I have a 2013 Emergency Preparedness wall calendar from the Southern Nevada Health District beside me on my desk. All right, I know I am suppose to hang a wall calendar on the wall, but it does not do me any good hanging on the wall.
If I hang the calendar on the wall by the phone, then I have to go into the breakfast room to look at it. That is too far to walk while I am planning my February schedule. I have to plan specific housecleaning goals for February because I have a lot of stuff to get dispose of before Thursday, February 28. Some of the items I will give away, some I will throw away, and some I will put in storage. I also have to plan time to work online, but I think I will do that at night.
I want to get a few things accomplished in February. I do not want to reach the end of the month and feel as if a tornado struck leaving fragments of unfinished goals scattered in its wake. I know I have physical problems which prevent me from standing up for long periods of time, but that does not mean I am unable to do housework. The housework just takes longer especially when it comes to sweeping and mopping floors.

A change of plans for this week
Jamál (Beauty), 1 ‘Ilm (Knowledge), 167 BE – Sunday, October 16, 2011 about 4:30 PM Pacific Time
I had planned to go to the laundromat on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. As it turns out, I have to remain home on Monday. If I let it, this will mess up my schedule for the week; however, I do not think I will let it. I have plenty to do here at home both on and off line.
I need to clean out the pantry and move some of the canned goods to another cupboard in the kitchen. I need to clean out Mom’s closet and my closet. We both have dresses that we will never wear, so I need to pack those in a box and give them away. I also need to get the spare room ready to rent. I am not sure the renting idea will work out, but it is worth a try because we need the money and I am tired of using that room as a “catch all”.
I suppose I need to write a “to do list” tonight so that I accomplish something tomorrow. If I can check a job off a list then I know I have accomplished something.

A week remains in October 2010
Jamál (Beauty), 9 ‘Ilm (Knowledge), 167 BE – Sunday, October 24, 2010 about 12:57 PM Pacific Time
About seven days remain in October. About two months remain in 2010. It seems the month and the year has flown past. October was an interesting and stressful month. Twenty ten has been an interesting and stressful year. It well become even more stressful if I do not put some sort of schedule into action. I know that I have accomplished a great deal during the month and the year. I cannot see what I have accomplished because my efforts are scattered and I do not have a schedule.
When I worked outside the house, I never worried about schedules because I went to work and came home at predetermined times. Since I am home and have to work online, I have to have a schedule. I have struggled with the schedule for the past several years, without much success. Therefore, I think I will take a new approach.
The mistake I made in the past is not including interruptions in the schedule. This time I am including interruptions as part of the schedule. I plan to write in ten or fifteen minute intervals and then do something else. Most of the interruptions I encounter are random, but expected because the interruptions occur as a results of Mom losing her glasses, jewelry, etc. Most of these interruptions occur during the morning.
In addition, I have to set the writing and other activities I want to accomplish during the day. I know I cannot accomplish everything I want to in a single day, but if I work it properly I can accomplish a great deal more then I have accomplished up to this point.

Scheduling a virus check
Jamál (Beauty), 11 Sharaf (Honor), 166 BE – Sunday, January 10, 2010 about 9:25 AM Pacific Time
I scheduled my virus scan to run at 10:00 AM this morning. I figured to get at least two hours of work accomplished before the scan executed. This morning's interruptions prevented accomplishing two hours work. I'm lucky to get an hour of uninterrupted work any more, but there isn't anything I can do about the interruptions. The circumstances are such that they will continue and probably increase.
The virus scan takes about four hours to run. I figured on doing housework while the scan ran and then get back to working online. I will get some housework done, but it won't be uninterrupted and it won't be four hours of housework. I'll accomplish what I can today and tomorrow do some more.
Fortunately, I don't have any appointments this week. I have to pick up some prescriptions for my mother and me. I'll call those prescriptions in today and pick them up tomorrow afternoon. After that, I have to get the car smogged so I can get the tag when my check hits the bank on January 27. The tag is due on the 27th, I hate waiting that long to do it, but I'll be lucky to scrape the money together for a smog check. Life is becoming extremely interesting and I could use a vacation.

I am making myself a weekly schedule
Jalál (Glory), 13 Jamál (Beauty), 165 B.E. – Saturday, May 10, 2008 about 2:03 PM PDT
I am working out side my home and not just attempting to make money online. My schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM. I have even less time to do housework and writing then I did before. Therefore, I am going to attempt a daily schedule again. I have tried a schedule before, with some success and some failure.
This time I am going to approach the schedule a bit different. I found out that I stress when the changes and chances of life interfere with the schedule. I suspect my last schedule was not flexible enough. Therefore, I am going to put some flexibility in it.
I am going to put the normal items on the schedule such as work and social commitments. In addition, I am putting in housework time, writing time and prayer time. I will post the schedule to my off line journal Writing My Spiritual Journey, which I use to bring myself to account.
I am not sure whether my grandmother used a schedule or not. My grandmother would get up in the middle of the night and clean house. Those nights she could not sleep, she cleaned house. I am not sure about cleaning house myself when I cannot sleep. I would rather write, read or pray if I have difficulty sleeping.
