A Walk Down Memory Lane: Sweet Tea
For lunch today, I had a pizza and a bottle of sweet tea from 7-Eleven.
The sweet tea reminded me of the tea my grandmother for me when I was a
child. It was made from real black tea leaves and sweetened with real
sugar. Sweet tea made with real sugar tastes different from that made
with other types of sweetener. I like the type sweetened with real sugar
better than anything else because
of its taste. In addition, I don't drink as much as I do the type of
tea with other sweeteners because of the sugar. The sweet tea with sugar
satisfies my craving for sweets better than any other type of sweetener.

Midweek Reflections: Writing Poetry – A Poem
It is Wednesday,
And I'm writing poetry
Dedicated to the Blessed Beauty.
Each day my prayers are answered
Either with another idea
Or a completed poem.
As of today
At 5:01 PM
Pacific Daylight Time,
I have 65 poems planned
And approximately 40 completed.
By sunset on Sunday,
October 22, 2017,
I plan to have
Two hundred poems completed.

Motivational Monday: Afternoon Motivation
This afternoon was motivated to finish some paperwork, so that I can get it in the mail on Tuesday. The paperwork is finished, in a properly addressed envelope, stamped, and waiting for me to either take it across the street to put in the outgoing mail or lay it by the door so I can take it out tomorrow when the postal delivery person comes. Considering the temperature right now, I may do the latter.
I
also finished three more poems dedicated to the Blessed Beauty. I am
attempting to write 200 before October 22, which is the bicentenary of
the Birth of Baha'u'llah. So far, I have 60 ideas or themes for the
poems with approximately 35 finished. I should have between 40 and 45
finished by Friday, July 21. I am not going to worry about rewriting
until I have all the poem finished because it does not help my muse if I attempt to rewrite a group of poems before I have completed the entire group.

Listen to the Nightingale: A Poem
Listen to the voice of the Nightingale,
Singing in the Garden of Paradise
Inviting God's lovers
To enter through the Gate,
Which stands open
To all who hear the trumpet proclaiming
A New Heaven and Earth.

Happy Friday or Not
appy
Friday, doesn't exactly say how I feel right now. I'm a bit tired
because I didn't get much sleep last night. The problem was that I just
couldn't calm my over active mind because it was so warm. I like Las
Vegas, but the summer heat is beginning to get to me. The temperature
last night didn't get below 90 degrees, and this morning it reach 105
before noon.
Even
though, I didn't wake up until 6:00 AM, which meant I didn't get my
morning stuff done before 7:30 or 8:00 AM, I took three small bags of
trash to the dumpster. After tossing the trash, I walked around the
block. If I'm going to continue walking in the morning, I'll have to
start it before 6:00 AM because after that time it's too hot to walk or
for that matter do anything outside.
Las Vegas summer
Triple digit temperatures
Into the wee hours
I hate the idea of sleeping with the air conditioner on, but I may have to start. I can sleep with an ordinary fan, but the air conditioner blowing just above my head plays havoc with my sinuses.
I don't know what I'm going to do the rest of the summer, but I'll
figure it out or deal with it. Maybe the best thing to do is just rant
about the situation. Ranting doesn't change the situation, but it helps
my mood a little bit.

Happy 4th of July
Happy 4th of July,
From a Baby Boomer,
From a survivor.
I survived
Childhood 4th of July's
Full of Roman candles,
Cherrie bombs,
Barbecues that went awry,
Etc.
Happy 4th of July,
From a Baby Boomer Survivor.

Motivational Monday: Welcome to July
It's the first Monday in July, with four more left. Yes, July has five Monday. Five Blue
Mondays, five Motivational Mondays, or five Manic Mondays whatever you
want to call them. Day when you have to get up and go to work when you'd
rather be going fishing or something else fun. Here in Las Vegas they
will be five hot Mondays because it's July with temperatures rising to
the triple digit.
Triple digit temperatures are good motivations to work because they will increase the power bills. Hopefully, you are working indoors because out door work, in temperatures like this, is unpleasant to say the least. July is followed by August and more triple digit temperatures. Welcome to July and unpleasant temperatures
