The afternoon is passing in tranquil silence. I hear a car door slam down the block, but no other noise disturbs the neighborhood peace. I am alone in the house drinking the last of the coffee. I am wearing a back sweater to keep my arms warm. I check the weather online and find that it is about 52 degrees Fahrenheit with an overcast sky.
