Time Warp

 Ancient black cat
Time curls around itself
And falls asleep

Always Time for Prayer

Awake at midnight,
I don't have to turn on a light
I can just whisper a prayer
or access the prayer app
on my smartphone,
because there is always time for prayer.

At noon
I just face the point of adoration
recite the short obligatory prayer,
and go on about my day,
because there is always time for prayer.

A spiritual mood is easy to find,
when I inhale and exhale
the stress of the day
after which I can say
a prayer of gratitude
or protection,
because there is always time for prayer.

Poet's Time

I'm on poet's time,
I spend the midnight hours
in silent meditation.

I'm on poet's time!
I lay awake listening
for the approach of inspiration.

I'm on poet's time,
sleep is a distant memory
until my muse has returns
with stanza and line.

No Time

We wrap time into neat packages,
Dividing the day into small slots,
Plan precisely every activity,
Leaving ourselves no time for thought,
No time notice the beauty of nature,
No time to feel our fellowman's woes.

I, also, posted this in the journal Writing in Snow, under the folder Awardicon Items, in my writing.com port. I am Prosperous Snow.

My Body's Clock is Resetting Itself

Fidal (Grace), 19 ‘Ilm (Knowledge), 172 BE - Tuesday, November 3, 2015 about 2:29 PM Pacific Standard Time.

I feel iffy. I don't feel bad, but I don't feel good either. I think my body clock is still resetting itself. I'm getting used to standard time again. When the time returns to standard time in November it takes my body clock about a week to recalibrate. I will go through the same thing in the spring when the time jumps forward to Daylight Saving Time.

I will have to push myself for the next few days to move forward. I will think it's one hour ahead of what it really is. I will not be late for appointments because I don't have any appointments until November 16. I think afternoons are the worst because I want to take a nap at 2:00 instead of 3:00 PM.

I wish Nevada would decide to remain on the same time all year long. I don't care if it's Standard Time or Daylight Time, I just want it to remain the same all year. Of course that would throw a bolt into the schedules of the California tourist. However, I'm sure they would learn to deal with it. I's sure this jumping ahead and jumping back is dangerous.

Not Enough Time in The Day

There's not enough time in a day
to write everything I want to say
or do everything I want to do.

It's been a short day because I haven't gotten everything accomplished I wanted or needed to accomplish. I think part of the problem was depression and going to bed too early. Another part of the problem is wasting time playing silly games. I've tried several different ways to stop the game playing, but none of it  seems to work. I think I'm going to take a different approach by opening my prayer book and reading one of the prayers for tests and difficulties each time I want to play a game.

There's not enough time in a day,
so why do I wail it away
playing wasting time games.

I still have a lot to do tonight before I go to the couch (I don't have a bed so I sleep on my couch), which could be one reason I'm not sleeping properly. However, I can't find a comfortable and pain free mattress, so the only place I can sleep with out waking up in pain is on the couch. Of course, when I move to the new apartment I won't be sleeping on the couch. Instead I'll be sleeping on the love seat because the I'm moving to a studio apartment and the couch takes up too much room.

Passing time

Daily Writing Practice Prompt for Monday, July 20, 2009: “Write about passing time.”

I do a lot of this with a telephone line connection to the Internet. I need to get DSL, which is going to happen in the coming month. It's taking too long to download e-mail, it's taking too long to make blog entries, it's just taking too long. I'm a patient person under most circumstances, but my patience is wearing thin. I spent most of the morning writing blog ads and posting them to one of my other blogs. I did only two ads and I'm tired.

I still have another post to make to that blog. I can accept three ads a day, but I have to have at least one regular post between the ads. I'm just too tired at this point to focus on another prompt or writing another ad. I have to pay my next Internet connection bill by August 11, I think I'm going to go to the office and discuss getting DSL.

I could go for a cable modem, but I'd have to change providers. I don't want to change providers, I just want a faster connection. I don't even care about freeing the phone line, I just want a faster connection. I want to be able to download my e-mail without worrying that I'm going to time out before all the messages enter my box.
