After a busy Tuesday morning I simply want to take it easy. I was on one or the other of the phones all morning. I called my Internet provider, which is also my cable and land telephone line provider. I signed up for their new bundle because it was cheaper then the one I had with them, which expired some time ago. I now have a two year contract that is less expensive then what I was paying, but I have to move where they have connections.
I am looking for an inexpensive place to live in Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, or Boulder City. Those are the cities in southern Nevada that I am sure has the Internet and cable connections I need. I have to find a new place by November 25, at the latest. I talked to my real estate agent yesterday and found out that is when the short-sale of the house will close. Now all I have to do is find an affordable and safe place to life, preferably on the ground floor.
I have osteoarthritis in my knees, so walking up and down stairs is difficult and painful. I hope I can find a senior apartment in Las Vegas because this is where most of my friends are located, However, I will be happy finding one in the Clark County area because I can get a cable hookup. I would also like a place with less expensive utilities then this house. I am tired of trying to figure out how I am going to pay the electric bill. If I have to worry about paying a bill, I would rather worry about the rent then the electric bill.

Places I do not answer my cell phone
Istijlál (Majesty), 1 Rahmat (Mercy), 167 BE – Thursday, June 24, 2010 about 9:45 AM Pacific Time
I have a cell phone. I have not set up the voice mail. I am think I will do that this weekend. I have decided that there are three places I will not answer my cell. The reasons are safety, courtesy, and privacy.
I will not answer my cell in the car because talking to someone on a cell phone is distracting and unsafe. I will not answer my cell phone in a meeting because it is impolite; in fact, I turn my cell onto vibrate when I am in any type of meeting. I will not answer my cell phone in the bathroom and to prevent this I usually leave the phone in my purse or in another room.
I have not decided what to say on my voice mail message. I may just use a generic message with name, phone number, and request for a call back number. I may not even request a call back number because I can see that on my missed calls. Anyone who wants to block their number, does not really want to talk to me anyway.
I might say, “I am in one of the tree place I do not answer my cell phone, so please call back or leave a message.” Alternatively, I could just find a scripture verse and put that on the message.

Feast is Monday evening at 7:30
Jalál (Glory), 17 Nur (Light), 165 B.E. – Saturday, June 21, 2008 about 5:39 PM PDT
Feast is Monday evening at 7:30 PM, but I'm not sure where. I'll call someone tomorrow and find out. I have a phone connection to the internet, so it's easier for me to call then for the phone committee to get me.
Speaking of phones I'm going to have to delete all the messages off my answering machine. I didn't realize until this afternoon that the machine is full and can't hold any more messages. I know this because the answering machine usually picks up on the third ring, but today the phone rings until I answered it or the person hangs up.
Deleting the messages is just one more task I have to do. I did get a lot done today or it seemed like a lot. I took two cans of trash to the curb this morning and one recyclable bin. I still have one can of trash in the garage I have to take out on Wednesday. However, by Wednesday there will be at least one more can. Recyclables are picked up every two weeks, so I'm going to have a lot of those to take out next time.
I'm going to have to get on the ball and get most of the recyclables taken out next time or I'm going to be all summer getting the bins to the curb. I'm partly responsible for the amount of recyclables to take out. The winds we had earlier in the year are partly responsible as well. If I take the recyclables out the night before on windy nights, then the stuff is scattered all through the neighborhood. However, if I don't take it out the night before, it means I have to watch the time and make sure I have it out before 7:00 AM and sometimes that just isn't possible.

I want to know why
‘Idál (Justice), 10 Jamál (Beauty), 165 B.E. – Wednesday, May 7, 2008 about 5:24 PM PDT
I want to know why all the interesting phone calls come when I don't answer the phone. Mom got a phone call today from somewhere in Oklahoma. She didn't have a pad or a pen to write down the message, which isn't unusual. When I go to write a message or phone number down the first pen I pick up doesn't write. If the pen does write then there is no paper around to put the message on. Maybe that's why I let the answer machine pick it up because at least then I have a telephone number to call back.
Anyway Mom answered the phone and it was from Oklahoma. I know a lot of people in Oklahoma, but I have no clue as to who called. I really hope who ever it was calls back because they way Mom described the call it was interesting. It was probably a wrong number, so no one is going to call back. If someone says they are from Oklahoma then I'm going to answer the phone, if I'm home.
I think what I'll do is leave a pen and paper laying in the places Mom has the phone so she can write a message down, not that the pen will work when she goes to write it down. I can put a working pen by the phone and when I go to use it the pen doesn't work. This has happened to me more then once; I suppose the ink dries up before I use the pen. That's the most logical explanation.
