On the Feast Day of Baha
the splendor of the New Year
rose resplendent above Sunrise Mount
casting the glory of dawn
across the planet.

In the first light of day
the excellence of spring
warmed the cold ground of winter
causing it to give birth
and bring forth
new life.

Feast of Light

Life is renewed,
and creation reborn
for Christ ha returned
in the Father's Glory.

Stalactites of light
shine with crystal radiance,
while grandeur is reflected
from radiant stalagmites.

Stalagmites and stalactites
glitter in the darkness of matter
proclaiming the joyous news.

Silence transcends
for an abundance of reasons say:
That God's Promise is fulfilled.

Splendor's shadow hides
in the radiant reflection
of the Lord of Host
and the King of Glory.

Each crystal facet bends light
to the wave length of its own choosing
reflecting green,
blue,
yellow,
or red
from the pure white light.

The World Repaired

One soul at a time
the tears of a thousand years were dried;
the deep heart wounds sutured,
with forgiveness-love;
and the million plus names of God
united in a phrase.

Then
the Children of the Book,
the Children of God,
The Chosen Ones,
the Saved,
became guiding lights
on the highway to unity.

Grandeur is coming to an end

Kamál (Perfection), 17 ‘Azamat (Grandeur), 165 B.E. – Monday, June 2, 2008 about 6:49 PM PDT

The month of 'Azamat (Grandeur) is coming to an end, on the evening of June 4 at about sunset the month of Nur (Light) begins. The Feast of Nur will occur at about 7:30 PM in the home of a friend. "God willing and the creeks don't rise" I am going to the Feast of Nur.

I didn't go to the Feast of 'Azamat because I spent the entire evening and most of the next day with the dry heaves. I picked up a 24-hour bug from someplace. I know it was a 24-hour bug because precisely 24 hours after they begin they ended.

As I said, "God willing and the creeks don't rise" I am going to the Feast of Nur. Of course, in Las Vegas it isn't the creeks rising that you have to worry about. The problem here is clogged storm drains, backing the water up across the streets. I don't think there is any rain expected in the near future, all though, we could have some broken water mains that could flood the streets.

I'm looking forward to going to the Feast. I'm not sure with portion I enjoy the most, that usually depends on how I'm feeling the night of the Feast. Usually I enjoy the spiritual portion and the readings from the scriptures most, but the other two portions are nice also. There is always a spiritual feeling about the entire feast no matter where it is held.

Let there be light in my Dinning Room

My grandmother cleaned house in the middle of the night. When she could not sleep she would get up and clean house. Of course, she had light. All right I do have lights, in every room of this house I have lights that work, except in the dinning room. The chandelier does not work, even when I put new bulbs in it does not work; so I keep it off, until recently I had a floor lamp that worked, unfortunately, the switch went out and I cannot use it.

I do not intention of getting the floor lamp fixed because I bought it at a yard sale five or six years ago. I paid $5.00 for it and it will cost me more then that to get the switch fixed. For what it would cost to fix it, I can get a new lamp. Eventually I will get a new lamp, but for now I will just have to clean that room during the day.

There is a hospital bed in the dinning room and I'm going to call next week to have it removed. Until I get my dinning room table out of the living room and back where it belongs, I am not going to get a new lamp for the dining room. In the mean time, I will compare lamp prices and see what styles of floor lamps are available. The lamp I have now is black and I do not want another black lamp in my dining room.

As for the chandelier, it is ugly and too big for the dining room, but I cannot complain because it was there when we bought the house. If I get another chandelier, I want one that looks different, is smaller and does not hang down as low.
