Five Days Left in March

There are five days left in March, 

Five days of weird March weather, 

Five days until Poetry Writing Month 

And unknown April weather. 

I haven't checked the weather for April, 

Because its either going to be hot or cold, 

I like surprises, 

So it doesn't matter to me what the weather 

Forecast indicates. 

I'm going to close now, 

And check the heat 

Because it is cold 

In this apartment today. 

Time to change from cool air the warm air on

It's time to change from cool air to warm air. I turn the air unit on long enough to change the settings. Now I have to decide if I want to keep the warm air set at 70 degrees or lower it to 68 or 69 degrees. I do not use the unit at night because it bothers my sinuses to have the air on all night. It also causes the power bill to go up if I keep the air on all night.

I do not plan to use the unit at all until after Thanksgiving. I may change my mind if it gets too cold especially of a morning. I may have to turn it on so that I can take a bath without getting too cold. On the other hand, I may just go to one of the stores and purchase a small heater for the bathroom. I can live with the rest of the house being cool because I put on sweaters and long sleeved sweat shirts during the day. At night I have a flannel night gown which is warm.

This is Las Vegas so, most of the time, it does not get that cold during the day. Nights are when it gets really cold so I have to have blankets and long sleeved nightgowns or pajamas to wear. Perhaps I will get me a new pair of pajamas, the only thing I have left from my old pajamas are the shirts. I lost the bottoms in the move or I packed them and they are stored in my sister's garage.

It's getting light outside and colder

It's getting light outside and colder. When I woke up this morning it was chilly, but now dawn is approaching and it getting colder. From where I'm setting, at my computer, I can look out my living room window and watch the sky change colors as the sun nears the eastern horizon.

Yesterday was cold when I got up, so I turned the heat on. Then last night before going to bed I turned the temperature down so the heat wouldn't come on in the night. It didn't get too cold last night, but this morning I turned the temperature up to 65 degrees. I don't want it any higher then that, if the thermostat is set at 65 then the heat will go off when the temperature in the house gets to 70 degrees.

I have to be at work by 8:30 or 9:00 AM, but 8:00 AM I can get to work on time. Even walking I can get to work on time. My car is setting in my driveway, not running. I think I'm going to have to get another car because the engine in this one is damaged. However, I'll worry about that at the end of November. In the mean time, I'll just buy a 30-day bus pass. The only problem is walking to the bus stop, all of which are at leas 1/2 mile away.
