On Monday, my sister brought the blue-gray suitcase I packed and put into storage in her garage. I found four dress, which (with the three I already had here) gives me seven dresses to wear this spring and summer. This is nice because now I do not have to wash my dresses more then once a week. In addition, to the dresses I packed a pair of slacks with a matching blouse.
The only problem with the slacks and the blouse is that every time I bend over the slacks ride down and show areas of my backside I would prefer to remain concealed. This means I cannot wear the slacks and the blouse to the gym. If I have to wear the slacks to the gym, I will have to find a long t-shirt to wear. I hope there are other t-shirts in the suite case because I have only three I could wear with the slacks, if they matched.
I have two more problems with the clothes in that suitcase. First, I need more hangers because I have used almost all of the hangers I brought with me. Second, I do not think I have enough room in my closet to hang everything up. I will have to leave some of the stuff in the suitcase or give it away. I think giving it away would be the best option because then I would not have to open the suitcase every time I wanted to find something to wear.

Two bags of my mother's cloths setting in the hall

I finished the closet in my Mother's bedroom and removed the remain clothes from hangers. I did not realize there were still so many things left in that closet. I put the clothes in trash bags and sit them in the entrance hall. On Thursday, September 26. a truck will be by to pick those bags and any others I have filled.
I still have clothes in two bedrooms to put into trash bags before I can begin moving out furniture. I will not worry about the furniture or anything else, except the clothes until Thursday afternoon. I need to get the clothes I am giving away into trash bags and the bags labeled for pick up on September 26. After I finish bagging the clothes I am giving away, I need to pack the clothes I want to keep. Fortunately, that will not be difficult because I already have one suitcase packed and ready to go.
The sale of the house will clothes on October 30, so I have to have almost everything out and a new place to live by then. I am more worried about getting the house packed then I am about finding a place to live. My physical conditions makes it a bit more difficult for me to get stuff packed and ready to give away. I know, even though I have to rest between bouts of packing, I am capable of accomplishing this.

Hand-me-ups a new phenomenon in my household

I am the oldest of four children. I have one sister and two brothers, so I understand the concept of hand-me-downs. When I grew out of my clothes, they passed to my sister. When the older of my two brothers out grew his clothes, they passed down to my youngest brother.
Since the doctor diagnosed my mother with Alzheimer’s disease, I have experienced a new phenomenon, which I call hand-me-ups. My mother forgets that she has eaten and thus thinks she has not eaten. As a result, she began gaining weight, which was all right at first because my mother’s weight went down to 95 pounds. My mother has outgrown her clothes, so now I am giving her some of mine. Instead of handing the clothes down to a sibling, I am handing the up to my mother; therefore, I call them hand-me-ups.
