Closing Out October

October has been an interesting and a stressful month. I was without a computer for 15 days (it seemed like forever), so I didn't post to this blog for that time. I had a smartphone, with both a regular (very small) keyboard and a virtual keyboard. I attempted to post to my writing.com blog, using the virtual keyboard, and it took me an hour to post one paragraph. Therefore, I didn't post to any blog after that. Nor did I review on writing.com. The only thing I did with the smart phone was check writing.com and Facebook.

After a difficult start this morning, I finally got  motivated to accomplish something. Most of what I did today was phone calls. I had to call my insurance agent to see if they would cover some of the cost for compression stockings. They will. I called my doctor to have her start the paperwork to get the compression stockings. I don't know how much my co-pay will be, but that's alright because I will find the money. 

I also accomplished a little writing and some Facebook time. I think I may be spending too much time on Facebook. Perhaps I should cut down on the statue updates because I would get more writing accomplished. I only need to update my status one or twice a day, unless it is a special occasion. 

Social Networking Sunday: Checking my Facebook page

I haven’t checked my Facebook page in at least a month. Despite everything I have to do today, I’m going to check Facebook and see who’s written on the wall. I’m glad I checked Facebook because I encounter a couple of laughs, which I needed today. I also posted the following thought of the day: “A sense of humor prevents us from going crazy.” ~ Author Unknown

I have to check Facebook more often. I think I will start checking it once a week rather then once a month. I will check it either on Saturday or Sunday, depending on which day I need a good laugh. I can always count on finding something funny posted.

I checked my Facebook page today. This is the first time I've checked in about 30 days and I need to start checking it more often. Maybe I should attempt t check it once every 19 days, at least that way I could stay caught up on the friends request and wall writing. Today I accepted four friends request and ignore a group suggestion. The group suggestion was for a politically motivated group, which I'm not interested in joining. I also posted a message on my own wall.

I finally joined Facebook

I finally joined Facebook, I've thought about it a long time, but until my brother sent me an invitation I didn't join. I still have to do some work on some profile items. I put in my birthday (December 24, 1946); my hometown (Blackwell, Oklahoma); my high school (Shawnee, Oklahoma), and where I live today (Las Vegas, Nevada).

I also put in my portfolio at writing.com and my blogs on blogger. I still have a few items to put in like my favorite books, movies, and songs. I logged in both yesterday and today, I accepted some friends' inventions and became a fan of writing.com. I haven't participated in any of the games because I try to avoid most online games. I enjoy playing solitary games; therefore, sometimes I do play free online games, but not often.
