Today I am grateful for morning,
for the memory of pleasant dreams,
and the chill of a winter's dawn breeze.
Today I am grateful for laughter,
the warmth of a joyous awakening
to the beauty of another day.
Today I am grateful for prayers
that ascend to the throne of God
and bring down the blessings of faith,
which scatters the uncertainties of doubt.
