Rainy Tuesday

I meditate 

On the sound of raindrops 

Striking the asphalt 

Of Sunrise Avenue. 

Rain at last! 

Cleaning the air, 

Sending chills of joy 

Through my mind. 

I intone a prayer of gratitude 

For this rainy Tuesday.
