A Poem

A poem exists
somewhere in space and time
until the poet pens the rhyme.

A poem is born
when the poet's soul writes it
in the poet's mind.

A poem lives
when the reader intones it.

sometimes it's a dream,

One line at a time,
sometimes there are rhymes,
focus of simile or metaphor:
What is the subject
you are looking for?
