Happy Father's Day, Daddy.
I miss you.
I've missed you all my life.
You ascended into heaven in 1998,
I am sending my love to you
by saying prayers for your soul.

World Day of Prayer

World day of prayer is sponsored by a Christian group called "Church Women United". This day always falls on the first Friday in March, and dates back to 1887. Each year there are different themes for 2018 is "All God's Creation is Very Good". So, take a few minutes today to say a prayer for the world. The Earth and its citizens are in need of prayer. 

Free Verse Poem for Valentine's Day 2018

Happy Valentine's Day, 

From a nonperson. 

No, 

I am not a robot, 

I am single on Valentine's Day, 

And, therefore, I am a nonperson, 

Because, as everyone knows, 

Single people do not exist on Valentine's Day. 

Am I jealous? 

Maybe. 

Am I cynical? 

Possibly. 

Am I bitter? 

I will answer this question 

After I have written 

A bitter love poem. 

Sunday Speculations on the Last Sunday in January 2018

Sunday afternoon 

Sun is shining wind blowing 

 A new week begins 

A new week begins 

And I contemplate my goals 

I have established twelve goals 

Is that too many 

Or too few to accomplish 

Within seven days 

The End of the First Week in January 2018

Saturday, 

The end of the week, 

Time to contemplate achievements, 

And consider the plan for the coming workweek.

A day of rest 

Or a day to play; 

Pause before sunset 

And say a prayer of gratitude.

Today is the end of the first week in 2018, 

Consider the accomplishments you have made, 

And everything you hope to accomplish this year.

Review, reestablish, or make them anew.

It's time to step something new, 

With renewed hope.
