Remembering the Moon Landing

I sat awestruck
watching the news!

At last,
humanity had landed on the moon,
my world became smaller that day
and the universe larger.

I still
get a lump in my throat
when I remember those events:
I thank God
for being born
in such an awe inspiring
and exciting time in history.
